Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide engineering and technical support for technology development and transition to SEA 05 and NAVSEA affiliated PEOs and Directorates including leading and overseeing major Navy and Command initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and technical support for technology development and transition to SEA 05 and NAVSEA affiliated PEOs and Directorates including leading and overseeing major Navy and Command initiatives.
  • Provide engineering support for systems, subsystems, components, and equipment which have reached TRL 8 will not be acquired under this contract unless specifically noted within this Performance Work Statement (PWS) and approved by the government contract program manager (SEA 05 CFO) and contracting officer at the Technical Instruction (TI) level.
  • Develop, support, and review technical studies, analyses, proposals, roadmaps, and any other technical documentation.
  • Participate on investigative technical review teams.
  • Aid in problem identification and resolution.
  • Undertake special engineering or technical studies in support of emerging ship and warfare systems related systems and equipment requirements, or to address fleet technical issues.
  • Support ship and weapon system acquisition programs in technology development and transition including formal acquisition decision reviews. 
  • Support the development of ship change document (SCD) and TEMPALT packages
  • Provide support for all phases of system test and evaluation, including analyzing, reviewing, and providing recommendations on test and evaluation program planning.
  • Develop/fabricate digital or physical feasibility models and mock ups, Prototypes, Advanced Development Models, and Engineering Development Models, and materials in support of shipboard and laboratory testing (CDRL A003)
  • Provide technical assistance in procurement, in-process design reviews, hardware manufacturing progressing, trial installations, test results analyses, and Fleet operational evaluation periods. Material and hardware procured under this contract will be for prototype and demonstration installations only (shipboard or laboratory).

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred)
  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • DoD Secret clearance
