Overview

As the Business Development Manager working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will be responsible for organic growth of the company via development or successful campaign strategies, bids, and awards of government contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee bids and proposals to include teaming and price to win strategies for compliant, winning proposals
  • Develop and sustain a robust, multi-year pipeline to help maximize potential growth in target markets and competencies
  • Develop Gate Reviews and clearly brief senior leadership
  • Attend Industry Days as needed 
  • Lead and collaborate with stakeholders to develop successful bid strategies, crafting near-term and long-range capture strategies, staffing plans, and proposal submissions 
  • Provide guidance on technical, pricing and contractual issues 
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time sensitive and often multi-tasking environment. 
  • Effective collaboration with subject and technical matter experts and Program Managers with an ability to translate technical information into proposal submissions 
  • Supervise and mentor staff as needed 
  • Assist in the development of a strong pipeline of opportunities and develop comprehensive strategic plans for company growth and to increase market share in NAVSEA and other DoD organizations 
  • Conducting opportunity analysis and complete technical proposal development from initiation to award 

Qualifications

  • BS in, economics, marketing, communications or related field
  • 8+ years of proposal, capture and/or marketing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to win contract awards for government with values reaching over $25M
  • Demonstrable understanding of federal procurement acquisition process, contract types (non-IDIQ, IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts), as well as payment types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus)
  • Detail oriented and abile to focus on compliance with company and industry standards
  • Up to 5% travel
