Overview

Hepburn and Sons is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented, Material Management Program Analyst to join our team in Portsmouth, VA supporting the Surface Maintenance Engineering, Planning, Program Command. The Program Analyst will provide assistance to the team concerning Ship’s Depot Maintenance Mandatory Material Lists that support the Navy’s Directive Maintenance Strategies (DMS).  He/she will be expected to create, present, and analyze data from different perspectives, and create briefs to communicate findings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and coordination for the Navy’s Surface ship depot maintenance Mandatory Material List (MML) efforts
  • Analyze National Stock Numbers (NSN), supply system data, and research non provisioned material
  • Analyze data from different perspective in order to create reports and briefs to display MML efforts
  • Expected to work within various Navy Maintenance and Logistics databases
  • Analyze data to build long range strategies for material forecasting to meet Fleet demands

Qualifications

  • Greater than 4 years relevant professional experience and no more than 7 years relevant professional experience in program support of a DoD/Navy Programs utilizing Navy Logistics experience
  • Ability to follow direction and work within a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience creating presentations used to inform the Leadership Team
  • Experience collating and streamlining spreadsheet data into more efficient and presentable forms
  • U.S. Citizenship and a Secret Clearance is required

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with NAVSUP and DLA products and information systems
  • Experience with Tableau data visualization experience
  • Experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macro development
  • Experience with task leadership
  • Experience with Database data entry and retrieval
