Overview

Hepburn and Sons is seeking experienced Entry Level Radar Electronics Technician with experience in performing comprehensive equipment and system level maintenance for military radar systems at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops, Island, VA.

Responsibilities

  • The selected candidate will perform comprehensive equipment and system level maintenance on the AN/SPS-49 System
  • Provide system/equipment configuration and operational support for all deployed baseline AEGIS and SSDS variants
  • Schedule planned maintenance actions utilizing the SKED program in accordance with the Navy’s Maintenance Material Management (3M) system and also be responsible for documenting all maintenance actions, including repair part requisitions, using the OMNS-NG program

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma 
  • DoD secret clearance 
  • Two (2) years demonstrated experience assessing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance for the alignment, adjustment, removal and replacement of military radar-related equipment (AN/SPS-49A(V) radar variants)
  • PQS 301 qualification is required. If selected candidate is not PQS 301 qualified on or before hire date, he/she must be willing and able to obtain PQS 301 qualification within 3 months of employment
