As a Modernization Project Manager working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will be assigned as part of our technical work force to support Naval fleet readiness and ship modernization. You will be expected to:

  • Regularly practice business acumen and perform assigned program tasks in terms of quality, cost control, and achievement of technical, schedule, performance and contractual objectives
  • Keep upper management informed regarding program status and any technical, cost, schedule, or administrative problems within assigned programs
  • Establish, maintain and promote good customer relationships; ensure the coordination of work tasks with customer representatives; and ensure customers are informed on status and progress of assigned technical programs


The Modernization Project Manager shall provide research support of NDE, SPAWAR Installation Database (IDB), and other PARM Fielding plans, and assist in optimizing planned modernization work packages for each availability. Review schedules, installation strategies, material support plans, and provide risk assessments and proposed resolutions as required.


Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in any field
  • 20 Years of experience in the Navy or supporting Navy surface ships
  • 10 years’ experience overseeing the maintenance and modernization of surface ships
  • 10 years of Navy acquisition experience preparing POM and budget inputs and preparing responses to Congressional questions
  • Secret security clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience working with a Program Office at NAVSEA
  • Project Management experience
